Welcome to helpjonathan.com

Jonathan Colson, a very energetic 11-year old little boy from Spotsylvania County, Virginia is the surviving young man of a lightning strike that occured during a delay of game at his Little League baseball game at Lee Hill Park on June 3, 2009. Since that time, Jonathan has made great progress and the doctors continue to state that it is a miracle that he is alive. After spending nearly a month at MCV in Richmond, he was transported to Kluge’s Children’s Rehabilitative Center in Charlottesville, Virginia on Thursday, June 25, 2009. While at Kluge, he made great strides in therapy focusing on getting stronger. He returned home on August 21st. He now faces what they have estimated to be 2 more YEARS of therapy. Having said that…this family, that includes parents, Mark and Judy, Jonathan, his twin sister Christine, and 15 year old brother, Jeromy, needs our help. Judy works at E.F. Thompson, Inc., as the office manager, and has for many, many years and Mark has worked for Printpack, Inc. for 20 years. Although they have insurance, you can imagine the bills they are still faced with. They are very strong in their faith, attending Saint Matthews Church in Spotsylvania, and state that this event has only strengthened their belief in God’s list of miracles. Please keep the Colson family in your prayers and if you can help with their astronomical medical bills, a fund has been set up to accept donations.
